Chris served proudly in the United States Marine Corps, deploying to both Iraq and Afghanistan and leading as a Sergeant before returning home to Oklahoma. Now, as a husband and father, he’s running for State Representative in House District 20 to ensure that every family has a fair chance to thrive.
“As a Marine, I learned to keep fighting for your team no matter what. Oklahoma families deserve leaders who fight for them, not special interests. From rising costs and broken promises to lawmakers diverting money from our schools, our state government has lost its way. I will be a representative who always puts people first.”
Chris grew up moving between Missouri, Texas, and Oklahoma, attending six different public schools in both rural and suburban towns. That experience gave him a deep understanding of the unique strengths and struggles of communities across our state. Coming from a working-class family that often struggled to make ends meet, he saw firsthand the sacrifices parents make and the toll economic hardship takes.
After high school, Chris enlisted in the Marine Corps and became a data network specialist. He deployed to Ramadi, Iraq and the Helmand Province in Afghanistan, serving not only in technical roles but also as a rifle and pistol range coach, training fellow Marines in marksmanship. His service instilled discipline, leadership, and commitment—qualities he continues to carry into civilian life.
Today, Chris and his wife Angela are raising their kids in House District 20. He is running for office because the future of Oklahoma is too important to leave in the hands of politicians who have forgotten who they serve.
“My campaign isn’t politics as usual. It’s about building stronger communities, making life more affordable, and ensuring fairness for every Oklahoman. Marines never quit, and I won't stop until the job is done."
House District 20 includes the Slaughterville, Noble, Goldsby, Washington, Cole, Newcastle, and Blanchard areas.

Invest in public education, recruit and support teachers, and keep tax dollars in public schools instead of funneling them to private institutions.
Too often, insurance companies stand in the way of our personal and financial health. Our Legislature has made it easy for insurance to add costs to your household. Chris May will fight back.
Inflation and cost-of-living is going up faster than most folks can earn. Our tax dollars should benefit working families, not big city special interests.
Hold state government accountable, ensure an open budgeting process, and demand that lawmakers serve people, not lobbyists.
